The Art Of Leadership

Recently I read ten poems to change your life, by Roger Housden. I thought that was responsive and thought provoking. At one point, describing what he said Housden was the prerogative of the artist. "To forge a path in the area where other people are usually too cautious to tread: to alleviate the depth of human experience, that somehow we all know, but most of us, are not the scope of expression. "

When I read, I became struck by the thought that this phrase can also describe a leader prerogative. Great leaders such as artists that they dare to go in new directions and encourage people to motivate their footsteps by entering the following into an ordinary human experience. Like the artist, a leader must find a way to express their own humanity and encourage others to do the same in order to inspire action and committed accidentally do. I've often heard, and I've even used the expression "the art of leadership." And so I was wondering, what do we mean by this sentence?

Often we tend to think of leadership in terms of specific tasks and actions that can be written and sent to the persons who made effective leaders following the "rules of leadership." Although I am sure that many have been successful and Effective leaders only to specific tasks and strategies in the past, I was wondering if this mentality the best people for the profit fall tree produces, decreasing budgets, aging workforce, complex technology issues, layoffs and outsourcing is a foreign company and the global world of today and tomorrow.

There is no doubt that the vigor, clear direction and speed of action in such moments, referred to, but I suspect that most successful leaders in the future will be those leaders more as an art form in which the vision to embrace communication paradox , the degree of self, and shows the origin are equally important. Arts leaders recognize that their strongest asset is their tendency to move towards the depths of human emotion and connectedness, even in a business environment, even when it seems the hardest thing to do. However, to do that is the only way to trust and openness, where the leadership actually happens to offer. And do not forget that many of the art a strange, exciting and beautiful, so do not appear to be adopted when talking about expressing emotion. Authentic arts and leaders understand that they can only bring out the best in others by looking at their skills in performing and listening, asking questions, observe and follow. They know that really connects with others at the moment is how to generate trust and credibility in the future. By their ability to be everywhere, they empower other people to do the same. Many of these options are considered intangible things were difficult if not impossible, to teach and I think this is how the myth of the leader of the "birth" came to be. It is much easier and safer to declare that people either have or not for them and boy, did that leave many of us hook!

The good news is from my perspective, is that research has repeatedly shown that leaders can, in fact, "developing countries" and this includes art-filled leaders with courage, emotional intelligence, depth and presence. Interesting, I work with horses and men to build leadership skills and think this is one of the best ways to teach people how to appreciate the art of leadership.

In their interactions with horses, people learn the ways of their own unique expression that best motivate and guide others to achieve goals collectively with the intention of courage and clarity. The horses were extraordinary in their capacity for leadership as a way that, instead of doing and the result is truly an art form to reveal!
